Jared Allen of the Minnesota Vikings allegedly threatened to break a bar patron's neck at The Grapevine in Scottsdale, but it's still unclear whether the Minnesota Vikings' defensive star will be facing criminal charges. The Minneapolis Star Tribune reports that it's typically a misdemeanor charge in Arizona to threaten to "cause physical injury to another person or serious damage to the property of another."

The incident reportedly happened a few weeks ago after a bar patron yelled a four letter word at the patron's girlfriend. Angry 6-foot-6, 270-pound Jared Allen allegedly fired back by saying, "I'll break your [expletive] neck, homeboy. And then I'll write a check to your [expletive] name too." Another person in The Grapevine caught the incident on video, and it's now available at TMZ.com.

While Jared Allen is a football star for the Minnesota Vikings, the man resides in his hometown of Scottsdale during the off-season. Arizona DUI attorneys and local law enforcers may recognize the man off the football field, because of all his criminal charges and legal drama. According to the Minneapolis Star Tribune, Jared Allen has been arrested for drunk driving three times. He was busted once in 2002, and then another two times in 2006. The football player's DUI charges were in violation of the NFL's substance abuse policy, which led to the player's league suspension in 2007. ESPN reports that Jared Allen's three DUI charges ultimately played a large role in negotiating the man's contract when he was playing with the Kansas City Chiefs.
